Installation of cable lines
One of the activities of ENERGOPROMSTROY LLC is construction of industrial and non-industrial power-supply facilities and installation works with the delivery of building equipment, constructions and materials.
Our competitive advantages include:
In the context of dense urban and industrial development and inspired by a simple customer's wish to avoid overhead lines at the site, we offer laying of underground cable transmission lines. Single cable lines in localities are usually laid in the ground (trenches) along roads without traffic, under sidewalks, in yards, and in maintenance grass lanes. Modern technologies allow for trench-free cable laying at the intersection of roads and railways, at underground utility lines, in the improved territories (e.g. with sidewalks), near natural obstacles (e.g. rivers), etc.
The cable must be placed into trenches. Filling must be placed under the cable; sand-gravel mix or fine silt (rock-, rubbish- and slag-free) must be placed above the cable. The cable must be protected from mechanical damage by reinforced concrete slabs, bricks or plastic warning tape along its entire length.
Cable routing, wrap, the laying depth, the thickness of sand-gravel or fine silt, and the distance between the parallel lines in the trench and in the air are determined in the project documents.
To protect the cables at intersections with roads, engineering constructions and natural obstructions, use PE pipes. The cases requiring to lay cables in pipes are regulated in the National Electrical Code.
Our competitive advantages include:
- a team of experienced, skilled professionals;
- an in-house park of construction machinery and vehicles transporting building constructions and other cargo;
- guaranteed flexible approach and custom solutions for every task, including deadlines and payment.

The work order is the following:
-
1Trenching. The works can be machine-assisted or manual, depending on route passability.
-
2Delivery of the materials to the on-site storage.
-
3The bottom of the trench is filled with sand or sand-gravel mix. If necessary, protective pipes are laid.
-
4Cable laying devices are installed along the cable routing. Visual inspection of the cable reel is carried out. The reel is installed onto the pay-off.
-
5The cable is laid along the route. The superintendent follows the process.
-
6If necessary (if several manufactured lengths of the cable are used), joints are installed.
-
7When the cable is laid, the laying devices are removed, the cable is backfilled with fine silt or sand-gravel mix.
-
8Cable sheath tests are carried out.
-
9Protection from mechanical damage is installed: slabs, bricks or plastic warning tape.
-
10The trench is covered with ground or silt according to the project documents. Site reclamation is carried out if provided for by the project design.
-
11The site is cleaned and the waste is disposed of in specially designated landfills. Cable route indicators are installed in accordance with the requirements of the National Electrical Code.
-
12Terminations are installed at the points of connection to the electrical installations or transition to the overhead area.
